Bocairent is celebrating it's rescue by the Christian Monarchy.
The town of Bocairent, Valencia, is celebrating its historic Moors and Christians festivities from 2nd to 5th February in honour of its patron saint, San Blas. These joyful celebrations are well worth seeing and have even been declared to be of National Tourist Interest.

Carnival of Xinzo de Limia (Ourense)

The great parade in on Carnival Tuesday.
It is the longest carnival celebrated in Spain. The fiestas begin three Sundays before the actual carnival on 'Fareleiro' Sunday, a comic battle in which the entire townspeople get covered in flour. This is followed by 'Oleiro' Sunday, a tradition which involves throwing water into the air from earthenware pots onto people gathered below, until someone falls to the ground and is consequently soaked. Next 'Corredoiro' Sunday, a popular festivity in which the 'comparsas' begin to invade the streets of the town, which marks the threshold of O Entroido. Enterro da Sardiña
Of interest are the 'pantallas', characters armed with 'vejigas' and wearing curious masks.

Famous for its food, Galicia presents its stew festival.
This is a Festival of National Tourist Interest, the Stew Festival pays tribute to one of Galicia's best dishes. Held on the Sunday before the Carnival festival it is now one of the main gastronomy festivals in Galicia and even in the Iberian Peninsula. The first festival was held in 1968 to herald the town of Lalín as a producer of quality meat and excellent farm products.
The Festival features an extensive programme of events and activities that take place in the first three months of the year; the main day is celebrated with a colourful parade of carriages, street bands and carnival groups, the reading of an opening speech and the appointment of Knight Commanders of Galician Stew.
