Easter Week Festivals in SpainHoly Week commemorates the Passion of Christ, begins on Palm Sunday April 13 2014. Holy Week 2014 ends on Holy Saturday April 19, 2014.Palm Sunday, the final Sunday before Easter Sunday, signifies the beginning of Holy Week. The day commemorates Christ's entrance into Jerusalem when palm branches were placed in His path, before His arrest and Crucifixion on Good Friday. Some Christian churches distribute palms to worshippers.
Good Friday is the day on which the Church and believers remember the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. They believe that the act brought salvation to the world. It is at the end of Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday, and it takes place two days before Easter Sunday Easter Sunday 2013, in the Christian Church this is the most important day in the calendar, This the day that the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead ( The Resurrection) and ascended to Heaven.
