According to insiders, Marvel's operations in both New York and Burbank have been hit, with layoffs touching most areas of the company, from comics and TV production to finance and legal departments.

Job losses in visual development are reportedly major, with the team of artists, illustrators, designers, and specialists that historically steered the look and feel of MCU film and TV productions facing significant downsizing.

Going forward, artists will now be contractors hired project-to-project and managed by a small, in-house team that has remained.
