Nexon axes khazan rpg team amid poor sales and licensing delays
Nexon, the Korean publisher behind popular action RPG Dungeon Fighter Online, has reassigned a significant portion of its Khazan production team just a year after the game's launch.

Khazan's troubled trajectory
As reported by Yonhap News, the game, which reached a Steam concurrent peak of nearly 33,000 players at launch, failed to meet market expectations in terms of sales. Coupled with licensing delays in China, the poor performance led to Nexon moving around 100 team members to the 'R Team' at Neople, a reassignment division.
Despite falling player numbers - SteamDB records show the highest concurrent peak in the last 24 hours is just 1,013 - Khazan still boasts a 'Very Positive' Steam review score, with 85% of reviewers leaving positive feedback. The game also secured a respectable 78 on Metacritic.
Nexon claims the team has not been disbanded entirely, but the reassignment leaves plans for DLC or future ports beyond its current availability on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S in limbo.
