Yoshida points to ryan's demands as reason for his exit
In a recent talk, Yoshida explained that he helped lead several high-profile game development projects under his tenure, including God of War, Uncharted, and Ghost of Tsushima, before being removed from the top spot in 2019.
According to Yoshida, Ryan wanted him to pursue certain 'ridiculous' initiatives, which he refused to do, ultimately resulting in his 'firing'.
Yoshida has since launched his own indie game consultancy firm and has been vocal about his new freedom to discuss industry trends, including comparing support for indie developers at Nintendo and Xbox.
