Youtube boosts prices: subscribers brace for subscription increases
YouTube Premium’s price hike is officially here, delivering a swift and unwelcome adjustment to subscribers’ wallets. The streaming giant announced today that tiered pricing is increasing across the board, signaling a strategic shift in its revenue model.

A painful penny increase – and more
New users will immediately face a $2 jump, pushing individual subscriptions to $15.99. Existing subscribers, however, are being given a grace period, with price updates slated for June. But the increases aren't limited to the basic plan. Music and Premium Lite subscribers are also facing a $1 increase, bringing those tiers to $11.99 and $8.99 respectively. For families, the hit is steeper – a $4 monthly increase, pushing the Family Plan to $26.99.
