102-Year-old tech guru helps seniors master digital world
In a world where technology advances at breakneck speed, many seniors struggle to keep up, leading to feelings of isolation and frustration. But one remarkable individual, 102-year-old Dean Simes, is changing that narrative.
A lifelong learner
Simes' journey into the digital realm began relatively late in life, when he was in his 80s. Prior to that, he had no experience with computers, having spent his youth working in the mining industry, serving in the military, and later enjoying his retirement. However, as technology increasingly became an integral part of daily life, Simes knew he couldn't afford to be left behind.
So, he enrolled in a computer course and threw himself into learning, driven by a determination not to feel lost or out of touch. His dedication paid off, and soon he was hooked on the world of technology.

Sharing his knowledge
Now, as the founder of a non-profit organization called Computer Pals, Simes is paying it forward by helping other seniors understand and navigate the digital landscape. His mission is to empower his peers to embrace technology, not fear it, and to bridge the gap between generations.
