Bang & olufsen unveils spectacular beolab 90 monarch edition and zenith edition speakers
Bang & Olufsen has taken its iconic Beolab 90 speakers to new heights with the introduction of the Monarch Edition and Zenith Edition, celebrating the brand's centennial year.
Beolab 90 monarch edition: a masterpiece of danish design
Designed to reflect the sophistication of textures and Bang & Olufsen's heritage of furniture design, the Beolab 90 Monarch Edition features luxurious palisandro wood veneer. Angled and curved panels of palisandro follow the contours of the aluminum casing, creating a 360-degree rhythm reminiscent of classic fabric covers, adding texture and tactility. Six wood joints connect the panels, with a subtle light-colored wood strip on the front nod adding visual interest. The top frame is smooth palisandro, while the bottom panels in the base follow the panel pattern for a unified, sculptural whole.
Contrasting the warm palisandro with ocre-colored aluminum, the design balances natural and artificial materials. The transparent textile semitransparent panels allow glimpses of the acoustic drivers, showcasing how functional and aesthetic elements seamlessly integrate. This speaker pays homage to Bang & Olufsen's Danish artisan heritage, where carefully placed wood joints and panels create a sense of movement around the speaker, transforming it into an object of visual and acoustic interest.

Beolab 90 zenith edition: a symphony of pearls
Even more spectacular is the new Beolab 90 Zenith Edition, inspired by the mastery of Bang & Olufsen's Atelier. Thousands of aluminum spheres and subtle mother-of-pearl inlays transform the iconic speaker into a luminous, textured object. The six panels feature 289 anodized aluminum spheres in seven customizable pearl-inspired colors, creating a brilliant, reflective surface that interacts with light and its surroundings.
The top aluminum casing is perla anodized in a dark gray hue inspired by an oyster shell, while a circular mother-of-pearl inlay matches the diameter of the aluminum spheres, adding a focal point that complements the overall composition. Curved panels follow the speaker's contours, evoking architectural shapes and integrating texture and functionality.
Polished aluminum crowns and semitransparent textile balance the visual and acoustic layers, unifying the expressive, tactile design. The layered surfaces and combination of matte and polished finishes in the Beolab 90 Zenith Edition capture light differently throughout the day, creating a dynamic visual presence that complements the speaker's acoustic performance, making it a sensory experience.
