Just days into Season 12, gamers hit a snag with the 'ensanguined silences' – a new twist that adds an extra layer of hardship to dungeons. The result was a experience so challenging that even well-prepared players found themselves stumped.

In a statement, developers acknowledged the issue, citing widespread feedback from players unable to complete key content. 'We've received feedback that many players are unable to complete [a specific dungeon] with the ensanguined silences unlocked,' the patch notes read. 'Reducing the difficulty significantly, we hope to ensure all players who have gained access to the blood-soaked content have a greater chance of success.'

The update, patch 2.6.1, is live across all platforms. While the main focus is on dungeon difficulty, Blizzard also made tweaks to other areas of the game.

Players can expect longer, beefier encounters with the Butcher in the Hatehsards, as well as new versions of this nemesis in the Fields of Hatred.
