Crimson desert: the unending odyssey
Crimson Desert, the highly-anticipated open-world RPG, has proven to be a true marathon, with players investing an astonishing average of 20 hours per week to complete its vast content.

Quest for perfection
According to Mat Piscatella, gaming analyst at Circana, the title has claimed the top spot for longest playtime on Xbox and second on PlayStation, with gamers in the US logging an average of 20 hours on Xbox Series and 22 hours on PlayStation 5 in its first week.
This dedication is evident in the handful of players who have already achieved the coveted Platinum trophy on PS5, requiring a staggering 305 hours of gameplay, including side activities like fishing and insect collecting.
However, the game's creator, Martin Biswang, may have underestimated the player's appetite for exploration, as Crimson Desert has taken the 14th spot on PlayStation's most active weekly user list and 18th on Xbox, alongside service-based titles like Marathon and Apex Legends.
With a completion time that can exceed 200 hours, it's likely that high playtimes will continue for months to come, making Crimson Desert a true test of endurance for even the most dedicated gamers.
