Double fine's kiln brawler blazes onto consoles in april
Double Fine's long-awaited party brawler Kiln finally has a release date: April 23rd across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game, which began life as a 2017 game jam concept, has been refined into a surprisingly deep-looking cartoony multiplayer experience.

Kiln gets its fiery debut in april
In Kiln, you create and customize your own characters from pottery, then engage in 4v4 battles as your creations try to douse the opponent's kiln with water. The pot you've made determines your character's abilities - larger pots can hold more water but move slower, while smaller ones are quicker but have less capacity.
The real magic happens in the level design, where battlefields are themed around the mythology of ancient societies. Tunnels and pathways are limited to pots of certain shapes and sizes, adding a strategic layer to the action. And with special moves ranging from popping popcorn to flinging pies, Kiln promises a delightfully chaotic experience.
After a series of closed playtests and an open beta on Steam, Kiln is now open for signups for those playtests and the general open beta on April 9-11. The game's full launch follows on April 23rd.
