Fighting Game Creator Uninstalls Marvel Tokon Due to PC Issues

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls experienced significant PC issues during its launch weekend, leading renowned fighting game content Creator Maximilian Dood (a.k.a. Maximilian Dood) to uninstall the game on stream.

Maximilian Dood Criticizes PC Port

Dood described the PC port as "really st," citing stuttering and performance problems that significantly detracted from the gameplay experience. He stated during an August 7 livestream that the issues made the game "un-fun" and that he was forced to abandon the PC version.

Steam Reviews Plummet

Following Dood’s feedback, the game’s Steam page saw a drastic drop in reviews, plummeting to 44% positive across all languages and earning a "Mixed" rating. After Arc System Works promised to investigate, reviews have further declined, now sitting at 41% positive overall and a "Mostly Negative" 39% in English.

Console Version Stable

Despite the PC problems, the PlayStation 5 version of Marvel Tokon appears to be functioning without issues, as reported by Dood, who hosted a separate stream confirming its stability.

Future Uncertain

It remains unclear how long it will take for Arc System Works to address the PC issues or if the game will ever meet the standards of those who have already abandoned the platform.
