Fortnite welcomes game of thrones characters in showdown chapter

Fortnite has entered a new era with the crossover event featuring characters from the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and the Night King have arrived in the battle royale game, marking the first time George R.R. Martin's fantasy world has merged with Epic Games' iconic franchise.

The trio of skins hit the Fortnite Shop tonight, with prices yet to be revealed in V-Bucks. Each character brings their own unique looks, with multiple style options for Daenerys and Jon Snow. The Night King, as expected, maintains his eerie form.

Accompanying the character skins is a menacing Drogon glider and a set of emotes that let players sit on the Iron Throne or call forth fiery baby dragons. Jon's back bling is a House Stark shield, while Daenerys' treasure chest back bling overflows with dragon eggs.

Fans seem to be embracing the crossover, following last week's controversy over changes to Fortnite's in-game currency, V-Bucks. The addition of Game of Thrones characters is the latest in a string of high-profile crossovers, with other Warner Bros. properties like Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo already having made the leap to Fortnite.
