Game of thrones arrives in fortnite: snow, targaryen, & night king join battle royale
Fortnite players can now recruit Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and the Night King to their battle royale squads. The iconic characters from George R.R. Martin's series have officially crossed over into Epic Games' popular game, launching tonight as part of Chapter 7 Season 2: Showdown.

Winter is coming to the battle bus
The highly anticipated collaboration marks the first time the fantasy world of Game of Thrones has integrated with Fortnite. Showdown, which began yesterday, introduces a new wintry zone overseen by the game’s existing icy monarch, alongside rivalries between the three newly added characters. While the prospect of strategizing with Daenerys against Jon Snow is tempting, the characters are available in Fortnite's Shop tonight, with V-Bucks pricing yet to be revealed.
Players can purchase skins for the three characters, along with a menacing Drogon glider – allowing for aerial transport – and emotes. Daenerys sports her Season 4 blue dress alongside her darker, final season look, complete with a treasure chest back bling brimming with dragon eggs. Jon Snow offers options with and without his fur-trimmed cape, and a unique snow-drift effect. His back bling is a House Stark shield. The Night King, well, remains the Night King.
The arrival of Game of Thrones characters arrives at a time when Fortnite is grappling with player feedback regarding recent changes to V-Bucks. Epic Games recently increased the cost of V-Bucks and adjusted their distribution within battle passes, impacting players and Fortnite Crew subscribers alike. This crossover doesn't alleviate concerns about the increasing frequency of collaborations, but the popularity of the Game of Thrones IP has long made a crossover a likely event, especially considering the gradual inclusion of characters from other franchises previously featured in Warner Bros.’ Multiversus game.
The addition of Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny to Fortnite over the past year has populated a large portion of Multiversus' roster, though several franchises remain absent. While Matrix content has appeared previously, actual character skins are still missing. Tom and Jerry haven’t arrived yet, but with the Looney Tunes joining the fray, their arrival feels increasingly probable.

The interplay between these characters promises unpredictable gameplay, and it’s a welcome injection of fan-favorite elements into the ongoing evolution of Fortnite.
