Grado's classic series revamps affordable headphones with ambitious upgrades
Grado's latest move is a significant one, addressing the elephant in the room with its new Classic Series headphones. After focusing on premium models under the Signature banner in 2023, the Brooklyn-based brand is now bringing its revamped approach to the entry-level market.

Classic series unveils refreshed designs and upgraded components
The Classic Series comprises seven iconic Grado models, each receiving a careful overhaul. From the GS3000 to the SR60, these headphones now boast refined drivers, updated cables, and improved build quality, all while maintaining their signature sound and aesthetic.
At the heart of the Classic Series is Grado's X2 driver platform, engineered for enhanced consistency, control, and refinement. Expect clearer sound, extended highs, and a more balanced frequency response without sacrificing the dynamic presentation that Grado fans love.
Each model in the Classic Series features Grado's new Signature cable design, first introduced in the Signature line. These updated cables prioritize flexibility, durability, and noise isolation while maintaining signal integrity. The ear cups have also been redesigned for improved comfort and long-term wearability.
Every Classic Series headphone is still handcrafted in Brooklyn, reflecting Grado's commitment to its heritage and tradition of quality.
Model prices for the Classic Series are as follows:
Grado GS3000: $1,995
Grado GS1000: $1,195
Grado RS1: $750
Grado Hemp: $495
Grado SR325: $350
