Invincible vs prepares for launch amidst

As the closed beta for Skybound Games' upcoming fighting game, Invincible VS, draws to a close, players are pressing the development team to address a persistent issue: 'rage quitting.' The game, based on the comic book and TV series of the same name, will soon shut down its test servers, leaving fans to reflect on their experiences.

Matchmaking and penalties proposed

During the limited test, which began on April 9, players of varying skill levels flocked to Invincible VS. However, they quickly discovered that there seemed to be little penalty for those who left matches prematurely. This led to moments where opponents would be pummeling each other with strings of combos only to be met with an error stating, 'opponent disconnected.'

Concerned players voiced their frustrations, suggesting that the game needs an automated penalty system to deter 'rage quitting.' Others proposed that matchmaking may help alleviate the issue, as more skilled fighters reported being stacked in unfair matches leaning in their favor.

In response to the outcry, some fans have started recommending that newcomers at least don't skip the tutorial before diving into online matches. While the free beta test attracted players unfamiliar with tag-team fighting games, others joke that 'God forbid I have prior fighting game experience, lol.'

As Invincible VS prepares for its official launch on April 30, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, players will be eager to see how Quarter Up and Skybound respond to the 'rage quitting' complaints and other beta feedback. In the meantime, fans can learn more about Conquest as a playable character and the two DLC fighters set to arrive this summer.
