Mindseye relaunch hopes amid sabotage allegations
Build a Rocket Boy's CEO Mark Gerhard remains convinced that MindsEye can still be a great game, despite a disastrous launch. In an interview with GamesBeat, Gerhard acknowledged Mindseye's poor start, but pointed to positive reviews and increasing sales.

Mindseye seeks cyberpunk 2077 success
Gerhard believes Mindseye's quality is being recognized, with sales nearly doubling weekly. However, Steam user reviews paint a mixed picture, with 98 new reviews averaging 67% favorable opinions. He also claimed a 2.2% return rate on Xbox Series X|S and 3.2% on PS5, in line with industry norms.
Gerhard renewed allegations of organized sabotage by former employees, content creators, and 'filitrageurs' he claims coordinated to undermine the launch. He's identified the culprits, he says, and the matter is now in the hands of UK and US authorities for justice to take its course.
Gerhard previewed a 'next chapter' for MindsEye, with planned updates. However, the game's sales of just 12 players on Steam suggest a long way to go before reaching Cyberpunk 2077-level success.
