Minecraft Teases Ice Caves, Frozen Zombie Mob, and New Features

Mojang has provided a first look at the next Minecraft game update, featuring the introduction of Ice Caves, a new underground biome filled with glowing ice crystals and environmental variety. This cold biome expansion includes a rare and hostile mob, the Frozen Zombie, which can apply freezing effects and throw damaging ice balls.

Other features of the Ice Caves include the ability to place ice crystals for decoration and building, as well as using them as a light source. Frozen Zombies can also convert normal Zombies into Frozen variants when exposed to powder snow, opening up possibilities for advanced mob farms.
