This update builds on the previously announced 'caller ID with spam risk' feature, which alerted users about potentially suspicious calls. Now, with this new capability, users can proactively block identified spam numbers directly within the app.

To activate the spam call blocking, users simply need to navigate to the 'Protection' section in their My Movistar or My O2 profile, toggle the 'Block spam calls' switch, and confirm. Once turned on, the feature will automatically prevent these unwanted calls from ringing through to the user's device.

This enhanced feature not only improves the user experience but also enhances security, as spam calls often serve as a vector for more malicious activities. By giving users the power to control their call volume, Movistar and O2 are demonstrating a commitment to providing a more streamlined and secure service for their customers.
