While fans won't have to wait much longer for more announcements, as Naughty Dog promises to share more details on September 28, the studio took to social media to tease some of the festivities planned for this year's celebration. The team hinted at a "partnership announcement, a very cool collaboration, digital surprises, and more" to come, along with a No Return charity stream on Twitch.

Additionally, HBO's The Last of Us Season 3 has picked up some new and familiar faces, including John Goodman, Laura Bailey, and Ian Alexander. Goodman will play a new character named Joey, Bailey will portray a Seraphite leader named Elizabeth, and Alexander will appear as a character whose name has not yet been revealed, following his debut as Lev in The Last of Us Part 2.

As fans eagerly anticipate The Last of Us Day 2026, many are hoping for an announcement regarding a potential The Last of Us Part 3, given the studio's ongoing work on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. However, Sony has yet to confirm any details about the next installment in the beloved franchise.
