Pokémon pokopia players reveal watering isn't required for every square

Pokémon Pokopia players have taken to social media to share a crucial tip for new players - you don't need to water every single square of the game's world.

Rain will do it for you

When you first start playing Pokopia, your character wakes up in an arid wasteland that was once a lush Pokémon utopia. As you explore and start the process of rebuilding, many players' instinct is to water the ground everywhere, bringing back its green hues. However, as players have now pointed out, there's a simpler solution.

According to players, rain will eventually sort out all the dry areas for you, making the game look a lot more like the screenshots and trailers you've seen. So, you only need to water the plants and trees you need to create habitats or farm resources like fruit.

To kickstart Pokopia's rain, you'll need to craft the Rain Dance Site item and then activate it using a Water-type Pokémon. This is something you'll complete as part of the game's main storyline when rebuilding the Pokémon Center in Pokopia's starting area, so you can't miss it.

For now, though, you can put away your Water Gun. Rain's coming.
