Pubg battles back with ambitious plans to diversify and compete with fortnite

PUBG: Battlegrounds is shaking off its battle royale roots, aiming to become a global platform capable of rivaling Fortnite's massive success. The game's publisher, Krafton, has begun to materialize this strategy within the game itself. New modes, such as the sci-fi cooperative PvE roguelike Xeno Point, are being added alongside classic 100-player modes. Future projects like Black Budget, an extraction shooter, and Project Valor are also in the works.

Krafton plans to achieve this diversification through experimental modes, external collaborations, and user-generated content. According to Taeseok Jang, head of the PUBG franchise, the game is no longer seen as a single title, but rather a long-term property with the goal of becoming a
