Ryan Reynolds Promises Marvel Will Reveal Deadpool & Wolverine Flashforward Mystery
Ryan Reynolds has teased that Marvel Studios will eventually reveal the explanation behind the mysterious flashforward in Deadpool & Wolverine featuring Thor, who is shown crying.

Thor's Tears: Reynolds Acknowledges the Mystery
During an interview with Entertainment Today, Reynolds expressed his own desire to understand why Thor was distraught in the scene.
“Don’t we all want to know why was Thor crying? I want to know too,” Reynolds stated. “We will find out at some point. And I’m excited for people to find out.”
The flashforward showed Deadpool seemingly glimpsing a gravely injured future version of himself while Thor watched with sadness.
When questioned about potential appearances in upcoming films like Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, Reynolds appeared to feign ignorance, despite previous appearances at San Diego Comic-Con and D23.
He admitted he “still didn’t know” about a humorous clip featuring himself and Hugh Jackman requesting roles in Doomsday, and that there was “a lot to unpack” – a comment that seemed disingenuous given the limited context.
Reynolds’ inclusion in Doomsday was previously reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Marvel continues to focus its promotional efforts on the film, highlighting the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men.
Earlier this week, directors Joe and Anthony Russo defended the film’s production process, emphasizing their improvisational approach as the source of its creative success.
