Yet, in a remarkable turn of events, Slay the Spire 2 has quadrupled Marathon's peak user count, sitting comfortably at over 350,000 concurrent players as of this article's publication.

This milestone makes Slay the Spire 2 one of the most-played games currently on Steam, falling just short of perennial favorites like PUBG, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike 2.
