Splatoon raiders arrives july 23, a single-player focused action shooter for nintendo switch 2
Nintendo has announced that Splatoon Raiders, a new single-player focused action shooter, will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. Priced at $49.99 via the Nintendo eShop, the game will also be available in a yet-to-be-priced physical edition following Nintendo's recent decision to charge different prices for Switch 2-exclusive digital and physical releases.

Splatoon raiders: a fresh, ink-splattered adventure
In Splatoon Raiders, you'll play as the Mechanic, a Squidling protagonist who explores a large open world armed with colorful ink cannons. The game's character creator allows you to customize your hero with options including body type, voice, hairstyle, eyebrows and eye color. Footage shows the Mechanic aided by another character in a tank-like mech, potentially controlled by members of the Deep Cut band from Splatoon 3.
While Nintendo describes the game as 'single-player focused', up to three additional players can join via online or local co-op. 'Don't worry about balance or difficulty,' Nintendo assured. 'Whether you team up with friends or go solo, it all evens out!'
As you explore and defeat enemies to uncover treasure, you'll unlock more of the game's map. The full scale of the Splatoon Raiders world remains to be seen, with only three months until its reveal.
In conjunction with the game's release, Nintendo will sell a triple pack of new Splatoon amiibo featuring the Deep Cut trio. The trailer for Splatoon Raiders debuted today, showcasing the game's colorful visuals and promising an immersive, action-packed single-player experience.
