French audio innovator StormAudio is poised to disrupt the home cinema amplifier landscape with the Impulsion 8, a fully digital, networked powerhouse that’s already garnered a prestigious CEDIA Best of Show award. This isn't just another amplifier; it’s a paradigm shift, blending Class D efficiency with native AoIP connectivity and integrated DSP to deliver a level of intelligence and integration previously unseen.

Building upon the foundation of the acclaimed PA 8, the Impulsion 8 represents a significant leap forward in system flexibility and intelligence. Housed in a compact 2U chassis, it addresses the evolving demands of integrators who refuse to compromise on power while battling space constraints. The secret lies in Pascal Audio’s UMAC Class D technology paired with a robust 3600W UREC power supply, delivering a remarkable 200W (8Ω) per channel, or up to 800W (8Ω) or 1200W (4Ω) in bridged mode. While the Impulsion 8 captivated audiences at ISE 2026 in Barcelona with its capabilities in the “Luxury Immersion Cinema” demonstration, it wasn’t available for purchase. StormAudio has confirmed a planned distribution launch in April 2026, with pricing yet to be announced. The wait, however, promises to be worthwhile.
