Studio ellipsis unleashes dark, pvpve horror game nightholme

Horror fans, rejoice! Studio Ellipsis has unveiled its upcoming, dark, PvPvE multiplayer game, Nightholme. Led by Alexandre Amancio, former creative director of Assassin's Creed Revelations and Assassin's Creed Unity, the studio is crafting a terrifying experience set in a foreboding, monster-infested world.

Nightholme

Nightholme's grim runners fight for survival

In Nightholme, players take on the role of Grimrunners, monster hunters with a choice of three playable classes - ranged, melee, or stealth. Each game begins with a clear intent, not objective, setting the stage for a thrilling, unpredictable experience.

As Grimrunners progress through the game, they can unlock new skills and abilities, culminating in the option to transform into a terrifying, powerful Grimspawn. However, this transformation comes at a cost, slowly eroding the player's sanity with each use in combat.

The game's economy revolves around Seeds of Terror, a valuable reward that can be obtained in each play session. These Seeds can be used to power up certain features, modify Grimspawn transformations, and are essential for progressing beyond solo or team play.

Nightholme is still in development for PC, with a closed beta testing phase already underway. Players can register for the beta through Studio Ellipsis' website, with the aim of experiencing the game's unique blend of horror and PvPvE action by summer 2026.
