Unlock crimson desert's fast travel with our guide

Exploring vast open worlds can be a time-consuming affair, but Crimson Desert is no exception. To navigate its expansive landscape efficiently, you'll want to master the game's fast travel system. But before you can zip from one location to another, you need to unlock and activate those coveted teleportation points - dubbed Abysmal Nexuses.

Abysmal nexuses: the key to fast travel

Scattered throughout the map, these Nexuses serve as gateways between distant areas. However, they won't function until you've found and activated them first. Unlike other games where fast travel is a straightforward affair, Crimson Desert requires a bit more legwork.

Here's the catch: you don't need to be physically present at a Nexus to travel to another one. The good news is that using fast travel is completely free and won't disrupt your gaming experience, even in the heat of combat. Simply put, it works similarly to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where you open the map, select your destination, and voilà!

Tracking down these hidden hotspots is an integral part of the exploration process. Some Nexuses will be marked on your map as points of interest or notable locations, while others require a bit more detective work. Pay attention to visual cues and in-game mechanics that hint at a NEXUS's proximity.

As of now, the exact number of Nexuses remains unknown, but early discoveries suggest there are around 150 of these hidden gems scattered across the map. To give you a head start, we've included a screenshot of their locations, courtesy of Mapgenie, a handy interactive map tool.
