Vivix's debut thriller artificial detective brings decopunk action
VIVIX, the promising new studio comprised of Control, Dead Space, and Call of Duty veterans, has revealed its first game: Artificial Detective, an action-adventure thriller set in a breathtaking decopunk city.

Unraveling a forgotten past
Players take on the role of AD 2846, a detective robot who awakens with a shattered memory in a metropolis dominated by towering skyscrapers. As AD, a robot once serving a human, attempts to piece together his identity, he's joined by an unlikely duo: Mowgli, a tech-savvy human girl raised by robots, and D.A.W.G., a half-functional mechanical dog.
The game's narrative is deeply intertwined with its exploration and combat mechanics. AD's abilities range from electromagnetic weapons to hacking and environmental manipulation, allowing for a tactical approach to battling the robotic enemies that fill the city. Between cases, the player delves into AD's past through memory fragments, each set decades ago in the same locations.
This unique blend of sci-fi RPG elements and detective storytelling promises a gripping experience reminiscent of Mass Effect. Artificial Detective is slated for release in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, offering an immersive adventure that combines the best of its influences with VIVIX's fresh vision.
