According to the film's producers, CJ ENM, Ally delves into the mysteries of marine life from the depths of the ocean. The story centers around a dumbo octopus named Ally, whose life is disrupted when a plane crashes into the sea. This catastrophic event propels Ally on a journey to the surface, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure.

Bong, known for his unique storytelling style, has teamed up with co-writer Jason Yu (Sleep) to bring this underwater tale to life. With the success of recent Korean animations like Solo Leveling and the Oscar-winning Studio Ghibli film, Spirit Away, the timing for Ally's release couldn't be better.
