Chalamet unveils new paul atreides look ahead of dune: part 3 teaser
Timothée Chalamet has ignited anticipation for Dune: Part 3 with a striking first look at his character, Paul Atreides, and a series of character reveals. The images, shared on Instagram following this week's Oscars, offer a glimpse into the film's highly anticipated conclusion to Denis Villeneuve’s epic saga.

First glimpse of paul atreides and character posters released
The surprise reveal of the updated Paul Atreides image was swiftly followed by a collection of character posters for the film, set to premiere its first teaser trailer tomorrow at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET on TikTok. The images feature Chalamet as Paul, Zendaya as Chani, Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia, and more.
This unexpected visual drop arrives as the world edges closer to Dune: Part 3, the long-awaited continuation of the 2024 film, which left audiences with Paul's ascension to emperor and the foreshadowing of a devastating holy war. The film’s narrative is expected to draw inspiration from Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah.
Robert Pattinson, known for his roles in The Batman and The Flash, joins the cast as the villain Scytale. He previously alluded to the filming experience, describing the desert set as intensely hot and strangely freeing, allowing him to fully surrender to Villeneuve’s vision. Jason Momoa, who played Duncan Idaho in Dune: Part Two, is also returning, along with his son Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, who will portray Chani and Paul's children, Ghanima and Leto II.
Dune: Part 3 is slated for release on December 18, 2026, sharing a date with Avengers: Doomsday. While the trailer promises further insights, the film’s core narrative remains largely shrouded in mystery, though the connection to Dune Messiah is widely anticipated. The scale of Villeneuve’s ambition, coupled with the assembled cast, suggests a cinematic experience poised to redefine science fiction filmmaking.
