Cooper's ocean's eleven prequel hopes to revive franchise

Bradley Cooper's potential Ocean's Eleven prequel just got a major boost. The talented actor has been in talks to star in the upcoming film alongside Margot Robbie, but it seems his involvement could go beyond just leading the cast. According to Variety, Warner Bros. wants Cooper to take on writing and directing duties in addition to his acting role.

Cooper's triple threat could save the ocean's franchise

Cooper's versatility and success as a director and writer, as seen in his work on A Star Is Born, Maestro, and Is This Thing On, could be exactly what the Ocean's franchise needs to revive its fortunes after a string of lackluster films following the original trilogy.

With two filmmakers having already exited the project, Cooper's involvement would be a significant development for the film's future. His ability to stay on schedule and get the movie shot before the year's end would be a major coup for Warner Bros.

The film is set in 1960s Europe and explores the events leading up to the 2001 Ocean's Eleven reboot starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Brad Pitt. Interestingly, Clooney is also working on another Ocean's film, this time focusing on the original group in their older years.
