Saber Interactive's adaptation of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser is finally clawing its way into existence. The gruesome survival horror game, Hellraiser: Revival, has been given a release date of October 8, 2026, arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. And if initial reports are anything to go by, it's going to be a deeply unsettling experience.

Forget sanitized horror; this is Hellraiser, and Saber Interactive appears intent on delivering exactly what fans have come to expect. The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into the game's disturbing world, one brimming with bloody violence, graphic gore, and explicit BDSM themes—a direct reflection of Barker’s original film franchise. The game’s opening sequence, described as an extended exploration of sadomasochism featuring hooks and other instruments of pain, sets a tone of uncompromising depravity.

Tim Willits, head honcho at Saber Interactive, made it abundantly clear back in March that the studio was pushing for the highest possible M rating, stating their ambition was to “go as far as we possibly can, as far as the people that make rules will let us go.” That promise seems to be holding true, suggesting a level of intensity rarely seen in video game adaptations. The game tasks players with rescuing a loved one from the Cenobites, navigating a nightmarish underworld armed with earthly weapons and the power of the Genesis Configuration puzzle box.
