The housemaid's secret follows millie's return to an affluent household with dark secrets.

While plot details remain scarce, McFadden's synopsis hints at Millie uncovering truths behind a closed door, threatening to expose even darker secrets than her own. It's unclear what role Dunst will play, but sources indicate she'll portray Wendy Garrick, the wealthy family's reclusive wife.

Paul Feig returns to direct the film, with Rebecca Sonnenshine penning the screenplay. Production is slated to begin this autumn, although a release date has not been announced.
