Marvel's x-men reboot lands new writers amid multiverse plans

The highly anticipated X-Men reboot within the Marvel Cinematic Universe has found new blood in its writing department, as the project continues to take shape amidst the sprawling multiverse plans.

Director jake schreier confirms additional screenwriters

In a recent interview with Collider discussing his Netflix series Bronca, director Jake Schreier revealed that he, along with writers Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo, are still actively working on the X-Men film's script.

Schreier, who is also set to helm the upcoming Marvel anti-hero ensemble Thunderbolts, expressed excitement about reuniting with his collaborators for the X-Men project.

'We're still in development,' he explained. 'Sonny, Joanna, and I worked together on the first season of Bronca and Thunderbolts. They've come in and are working on a draft, which is really exciting, as it allows us to reunite this group of people again.'

While Lee Sung Jin wasn't officially attached to Thunderbolts, Schreier's comments suggest he may have contributed to the film's behind-the-scenes development.

As the X-Men reboot remains shrouded in mystery, with no concrete details on its storyline or character appearances, fans continue to speculate about how the project will intersect with the MCU's multiverse narrative.

With a 2027 release date for Avengers: Secret Wars, which is expected to conclude the Multiverse Saga, the X-Men film's place in the larger universe remains uncertain.
