Michael b. jordan & christopher mcquarrie join forces for battlefield film

Academy Award-winning duo Michael B. Jordan and Christopher McQuarrie are reportedly teaming up for a feature film adaptation of Electronic Arts' hit military video game franchise, Battlefield.

Mcquarrie to write, direct and produce

According to The Hollywood Reporter, McQuarrie, who won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for The Usual Suspects and has directed the last four Mission: Impossible films, is attached to write, direct and produce the Battlefield movie.

Jordan to produce and possibly star

Jordan, who recently took home the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in Sinners, is on board to produce and may also star in the film. EA will also serve as a producer.

The package is currently being shopped to studios, including Sony and Apple, with the aim of a theatrical release rather than a streaming one.
