Supergirl soars into action in june 2026

DC Studios is gearing up for a major summer blockbuster with the upcoming film adaptation of 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow', one of the most popular DC Comics by Tom King. After unveiling a tantalizing trailer, the studio has now released a new poster focused on the titular heroine, played by rising star Milly Alcock. The movie, directed by Craig Gillespie and featuring a star-studded ensemble including Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Eve Ridley, Emily Beecham, Wil Cobben, Ferdinand Kingsley and Jason Momoa reprising his role as Lobo, hits Spanish theaters on June 26, 2026.

Supergirl's origin story takes a dark turn

Unlike her cousin Kal-El, Superman, who was sent to Earth as an infant, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, was acutely aware of Krypton's destruction and the loss of her loved ones while escaping to the blue planet. Her 21st birthday finds the lonely and aimless heroine interrupted by Ruthye Marye Knoll, a vengeful alien seeking blood from the yellow hills mercenary Krem who killed her father and stole her family's sword. However, Ruthye's quest for revenge also ensnares Supergirl, as Krem has poisoned her Superdog Krypto, giving Kara just three days to settle her score and secure the antidote before it's too late.
