Taylor sheridan accelerates frisco king production amid skyshowtime debut
Renowned filmmaker Taylor Sheridan has kicked off production on his highly-anticipated spin-off series Frisco King, shifting gears from the Yellowstone universe. The show, centered around the character of Russell Lee Washington Jr., played by Samuel L. Jackson, is a prequel to Tulsa King, where Stallone's Dwight Manfredi shared a prison stint.

Frisco king dials up the action
Originally slated to set its story in New Orleans, Frisco King has unexpectedly relocated to Texas, sparking a name change from Nola King to Frisco King, reflecting its new Texas setting. Principal photography for the series began on March 20 in the northern part of the state, with confirmed locations including the Tarrant County Courthouse and downtown Fort Worth, where road closures and sidewalk alterations were made in preparation for the production.
While a release date has yet to be announced for Frisco King on SkyShowtime, given Sheridan's typical pace, a late-year premiere is possible. Fans of the filmmaker and his Tulsa King series can look forward to more gritty drama and action in this new spin-off.
