Counter-strike 2 brings new ammo management rules
Valve is shaking up the reloading mechanics in Counter-Strike 2, introducing an ammo management system inspired by Helldivers 2.

Reloads now come with higher stakes
In the previous CS games, players could reload their weapons without any consequences. However, this new approach means that when reloading, you'll drop the used magazine and discard all the remaining ammo in it.
This change aims to give players more strategic decisions to make, as they'll need to carefully consider when to reload and risk losing precious bullets. As Valve explained, each weapon now comes with a reserve magazine capacity, ranging from three clips for most weapons to fewer for those that reward efficiency and precision, or more for those that encourage spamming through walls and smokes.
This overhaul of CS2's ammo management is likely to take some time getting used to, especially for longtime players with muscle memory for the old system. Some fans are already expressing skepticism, citing the potential for frustrating gameplay and the need to adapt to a new paradigm.
On the other hand, this change could also lead to more engaging and tactical gameplay, as players have to think harder about their ammo usage and conservation. Only time will tell how this update will shape the future of Counter-Strike.
