Samsung unveils new mini-led tvs, slashing prices for budget buyers
Samsung is shaking up the TV market with a fresh lineup of Mini-LED televisions, promising enhanced contrast and performance at increasingly accessible price points. The company announced the M70H and M80H models, alongside higher-end Quantum Dot Mini-LED options, signaling a broader strategy to capture a wider range of consumers.

Mini-led tech gets more affordable
Mini-LED backlighting offers a significant leap beyond traditional LCD TVs, enabling more precise control over light and shadow. This translates to deeper blacks and brighter highlights, creating a far more dynamic picture. The M70H, starting at $349.99 for a 43-inch model, brings this Technology to a more budget-conscious audience. It features a 60Hz VRR panel, HDR 10+ support, and Samsung’s Tizen OS.
The M80H, priced from $699.99 for a 55-inch screen, targets gamers with a 144Hz VRR display. It also boasts enhanced AI image processing, aiming to optimize picture quality based on viewing habits. Both models include three HDMI ports and eARC.
But the innovation doesn't stop there. Samsung also revealed the QN80H and QN70H, which represent a step up in performance and features. The QN80H, beginning at $1,299.99 for a 55-inch, boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and more advanced AI upscaling. A 100-inch version is also in the works. The QN70H, starting at $599.99 for a 43-inch, offers a 60Hz refresh rate and a more streamlined feature set.
These new models arrive as Samsung continues to push the boundaries of display Technology. The move to more affordable Mini-LED options suggests a strong desire to compete directly with budget-friendly alternatives from brands like TCL and Hisense. All the new TVs are available now on Samsung's website, a calculated move to capitalize on the peak buying season.
The shift indicates a clear strategy: to democratize premium picture quality. The question now is whether this accessibility will truly disrupt the established TV landscape.
